๐Ÿ“˜ Description

Join this hands-on, two-day virtual course introducing the Maryland Nutrient Management Plan (NMP) process from start to finish. Participants will complete a full plan using NuMan Pro 5.3 software.

Certified nutrient management consultants who attend will receive 6 continuing education credits.

This training will cover:

- Maryland Nutrient Management Regulations

- Introduction to the Phosphorus Management Tool (PMT)*

- Data Collection

- Reporting and Recordkeeping

- Soil Sampling and Testing

- Calibrations and Nitrate Testing

- Organic Sampling and Testing

- Livestock, Fruit, and Christmas Trees in NMPs

- Generating Crop Recommendations

- Completing a full example NMP

*In-depth PMT training will be offered at a later date for those interested.

All are welcome!
Priority will be given to certified consultants who intend to write Maryland NMPs, followed by certified individuals who need CEUs.

Please note that each visit date offers a unique experience. On this visit (October 25) guests will attend a general presentation, hear from current AGNR students, and tour the on-campus farm. Please note in this special Saturday session - other academic units will not be available; other University amenities and facilities will operate on weekend hours.

74th TALBOT CORN CLUB and

55th SOYBEAN IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

This year the annual Talbot Corn Club and Soybean Improvement Program Banquet will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. The banquet will begin at 6:00 pm with a social and dinner at 6:30 pm at the VFW Post 5118, 355 Glebe Road, Easton.

 

Join us in celebrating the 2025 Harvest, awards for contestants and recognitions for sponsors will be given out during the evening. The program includes a keynote speaker, weather report and crop summary report.

 

Thank you for being a part of this important Talbot County tradition. We look forward to seeing you at the banquet!
